McGuinty Takes Property Tax Credit Refund Money

I just found from my accounting company that the McGuinty government has taken our PROPERTY TAX CREDIT and moved it into a fund called the TRILLIUM BENEFIT fund. This means for all of us who were hoping for nice tax cheque, we are out of luck. Instead the credit (formerly ‘refund’) will be paid out in 12 equal installments starting in July 2012 along with the ONTARIO ENERGY CREDIT. What he has done is basically borrowed (or stolen) our refund money to help finance his governments’ debt. This action will naturally hurt seniors and the poor the most just like taxing our hydro and heating did. Will McGuinty ever stop screwing the poor to help the rich.

This is an excellent topic. I sent a letter about this to the editor of the Toronto SUN and it was ignored. The media as usual don’t get it.
The Trillium benefit is going to hurt a lot of seniors financially as stated in the article. i wish there was a way to bring this to the attention of th general public. How can it be lawful for the government to play with indivual’s money this way?
